I know it's early, but what the heck. Due to injuries and down years in 2010 MLB, the Trappers are likely to be in a "re-tool" mode next year, with the focus on competing again in 2012. A complete trade flier will be sent out at the end of the year but one guy I want to put out there right now is Miguel Cabrera. I would LOVE to keep this guy, but realistically he won't fit in my budget. He's in the final year of his contract and can be renewed for 2011 at $69. A steep price on the face of it, but if he's allowed back into the draft he may just end up costing $40-50 on a 3 year deal. If you're thinking of contending next year and want an MVP type bat in your lineup on a 1 year, no risk deal, let me know as I will be very motivated to move his contract for anything that helps me in the future. About the only positions I am set for going forward is in the corner OF and 1B.
