Harold Baines Bert Blyleven Andre Dawson Mark McGwire Jack Morris Dale Murphy Dave Parker Tim Raines Jim Rice And from the incoming camp of players up for balloting, Rickey Henderson.
On the bubble and out of the Hall: Tommy John, and Don Mattingly. The best pitcher and hitter not in.

For me, Rickey is a no brainer and in. Blyleven is a bubble guy. Dawson was one of the best players I ever saw play but I think he's lacking the career numbers. None of the others are even close. Rice is the biggest joke--if this guy played in any other park, he would be Pat Burrell. Couldn't field, couldn't hit on the road....

I've never seen a player bitch so much about making it/not making it into the HOF as Rice did; maybe Rose, but he'll never be in. At this point it was just about "alright FINE, you're in, now shut up and leave us alone." Does a marginal player like Rice making it in, make it easier for the roids era hitters to get in, since their numbers dwarf his?

Rice in the Hall is pathetic.....the fact that he is in and McGwire gets even less votes leads me to believe that Cooperstown will continue to water itself down.
Hall of Fame? meaningless at this point
