why's it shocking? 104 players tested positive one years test, every baseball player is under supsicion as ego driven as they are. Shocking -no; sad- yes

i've never been more surprised AND less surprised to hear something in my life.
the whole situation is a disaster, from the 104 players who failed, to the fact that a-rod is the only name that was reported, to the test results being leaked....ugh.
between the recession, the pre-existing steroid controversy, and now this new wave of scandal.....not good times for baseball.

I think there will be more names emerge...I'm not worried only ARod's name has surfaced so far...I think the news cycle is as such that as soon as ARoid's story fades, we'll get a new name.
Any bets as to who it is? I'm thinking Jeter, then Piazza.

but even initally, why a-rod's name first without anyone else's? that part i don't really get. who are these other 103, and why is a-rod not being protected like they are?
if jeter took PEDs i may be done with baseball.

because ARod's one of the few who have gone on record (On 60 Minutes) stating he did not use them. It was like when Palmeiro was busted. I think other names will come out, but the hypocrisy that is ARod compelled this story the most.
Think that's why his wife divorced him, because he's packing BBs between the legs?

In honor of Bud Selig's comments, how about we remove ARoid from our draft list and suspend him for the 2009 season

Similar to Clemens, where there's smoke, there's fire. The only thing shocking about this story is that A-Roid was stupid enough to get himself caught. Considering the amount of scratch he makes, you'd think he'd be more careful. So what is the drug capital of baseball? NY? Oaktown? Texas?

Not Oaktown now, they had what close to the worst SLG, OPS+ in the league?; now unless Giambi brought some HGH and the new SARM with him, its still gotta be NY and the high(er) payroll teams players; the newer drugs arent cheap...

Still can't believe Nicholas got him for $46. Maybe he'll suck with that steroid issue looming.
We can hope...
