For most, this is the first time any of us have been in a salary/contract league. Do any of you have questions regarding how the contracts/contract extensions/salaries/cutting a salaried and contracted player work?
I'll do what I can to address your questions here.

I have a question.
Why do you have a deranged bee as your avatar? Can I deal you 70s pitchers?

Ok, I read somewhere that we pay 1/2 for releasing a player under contract rounded up. Is that per player or overall?
IE: If I drop 2 $1 player signed last year ar 1/2 years (Meaning they have 1 year left) and drop them does it cost the team $2 or $1. (0.5/player)
Let me know thx

IE: If I drop 2 $1 player signed last year ar 1/2 years (Meaning they have 1 year left) and drop them does it cost the team $2 or $1. (0.5/player) Let me know thx The cuts are per player. If you buy out a contract, it's for 1/2 his salary x how many years on the contract. So for example, we're coming into season 2, so we have players that are either entering the 2nd of a two-year deal ( 2/2 ), or the 2nd of a three-year deal ( 3/3 ). So if you have a player making a $6 salary, if he's a 2/2, you'd only be buying out one season, and be buying out 1/2 his contract; therefore, he'd cost $3 to buy out. Same player on a 3/3 contract, he'd be 1/2 the salary for each of the seasons's he's under contract, so that's $3 this year, and $3 next year = $6. THE KEY IS, THE BUYOUT IS IMMEDIATE - meaning, even if he's entering the 2nd of a 3-year contract, the buyout ONLY comes off this year's salary, not next season. So if you bought out that 3-year contract before the second season of $6, it would be $6 off your 2009 salary, but would be off the books for the 2010 salary.

I get the years but I just wanted clarification on odd numbered salaries?
We round up? Ie: a $5 player 2/2 would be dropped for $3 or for $2.5?
And the .5 would be rounded up for the team totals or is it per player?
